activate_will_call

Status: Implemented | Module: trip

Activate a will-call return leg for immediate pickup dispatch. Uses the Organization action (not Broker) and passes the real member ID as AddedByEntityID. Returns an estimated pickup time (+15 minutes from activation). Does not pre-fetch the trip – delegates directly to the trip service. Supports both session-based and lightweight re-verification.

trip_id string yes Trip identifier from get_active_trips. Accepts trip UUID or human-readable ID (e.g. 04-21-2026-91-B). Auto-detected.
session_id string no Active session (if verified)
member_id string no Medicaid ID (for re-verification)
first_name string no First name (for re-verification)
dob string no DOB (for re-verification)

Implementation Details

  • Calls Organization.ActivateWillCall (not Broker.ActivateWillCall) – consistent with member-backend
  • AddedByEntityID is set to the real member UUID (falls back to "mcp-service" if unavailable)
  • No pre-fetch trip lookup – the trip service validates ownership and status internally
  • Estimated pickup is calculated as current time + 15 minutes
